Sales Disclaimer & Equipment Warranty

Specialty Batch General Trading LLC (“the Seller”) offers its professional equipment for sale under the following terms and conditions, which are accepted by the Buyer upon purchasing any equipment. These terms govern the sale, delivery, installation, service, and warranty claims for equipment distributed by the Seller in the UAE market.

1. General Terms of Sale

1.1 Final Sale Policy:
All sales of professional equipment by Specialty Batch General Trading LLC are final. The Buyer acknowledges that once a purchase is made, it is non-refundable, except in cases where mutual agreement for store credit is reached.

1.2 Payment Terms:
All payments must be made in full as per the invoice or any specific payment agreement with the Seller. Partial payments may be accepted, but such payments do not guarantee equipment reservation or delivery timelines until full payment is received. Partial payments are also non-refundable.

1.3 Discounted Equipment Terms:
In the event the Buyer purchases equipment at a discounted rate, the Buyer acknowledges that the discount is provided at the expense of any additional services, preventative maintenance, courtesy equipment, or extended guarantees that would typically be included in the standard pricing offered by Specialty Batch General Trading LLC. Separate fees and surcharges for delivery, installation, and additional services will apply for discounted equipment unless explicitly stated otherwise in the quotation and/or invoice.
Furthermore, the Buyer understands that all warranty coverage for discounted equipment is limited to the terms specified in the warranty policy and does not include any on-site technical support, servicing, or maintenance provided by Specialty Batch General Trading LLC. Minimum service call-out fees for any technical support are determined at the sole discretion of Specialty Batch General Trading LLC and may vary based on location, urgency, and other factors. If a discount in excess of 10% of the total invoice value is applied, technical call-outs with a service fee of up to AED 2800 (prepaid) may apply unless otherwise explicitly stated in the sales agreement.
For any warranty-related concerns or claims, the Buyer may be required to bring the equipment to our authorised service centre in Dubai for assessment. Specialty Batch General Trading LLC reserves the right to determine the eligibility of warranty claims and any associated costs for evaluation or repairs. All warranty claims must be accompanied by a Municipality-approved water lab report dated no more than 60 days prior to the date of the warranty claim request. The report must include the mineral content and the date of testing for the following parameters: Total Dissolved Solids (TDS), pH, Alkalinity, Magnesium, Calcium, Magnesium Carbonate, Calcium Carbonate, Bicarbonate, Carbonate, Sulfate, Sodium, Sodium Chloride, Potassium, Nitrate, Chloride, and Chlorine. Failure to provide such documentation may result in the denial of the warranty claim.

1.4 Reseller Terms and Conditions:
Resellers purchasing equipment from Specialty Batch General Trading LLC agree to the following additional terms:

  • Liability and Indemnification: Resellers agree to indemnify and hold Specialty Batch General Trading LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the resale of equipment, including but not limited to improper installation, inadequate customer support, or misrepresentation of equipment capabilities.
  • Inventory Management and Returns: Resellers are responsible for managing their inventory of equipment. Specialty Batch General Trading LLC does not accept returns of unsold equipment from resellers unless previously agreed in writing. Any approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of 20% of the equipment value.
  • Additional Services: For equipment purchased by or sold through a third-party reseller, if any site visits are required, a minimum call-out service fee of up to AED 2800 (prepaid) may apply, which includes up to 1 hour of support, along with a rate of AED 400 per hour thereafter for on-site technical support.

1.5 Service Charges and Adjustments:
Technical service charges are not included in any equipment sale unless the sale agreement and/or invoice explicitly includes such services. Specialty Batch General Trading LLC reserves the right to adjust any and all service charges based on factors such as the Buyer’s location, the type of equipment, the urgency of the service request, and the extent of the business relationship with the Buyer.

1.6 Buyer’s Responsibility for Manuals and Training:
The Buyer is responsible for reading and studying all owners’ and operational manuals provided at the time of delivery or collection of equipment. Any additional charges may apply for training and support services unless otherwise specified in the sales agreement.

2. Warranty Terms and Conditions

2.1 Standard Warranty Coverage:
Specialty Batch General Trading LLC provides a warranty for equipment sold, covering defects in materials and workmanship under normal use within the UAE. The warranty period commences from the date the equipment is delivered to the Buyer and is valid for a period as specified by the Seller at the time of sale.

2.2 Warranty Limitations for All Brands:
The warranty does not cover:

  • Defects or damages resulting from misuse, neglect, accidents, improper installation, inadequate water filtration, or unauthorised modifications or repairs.
  • Limescale build-up due to the failure to use a proper Scale Reduction System in areas with hard water.
  • Equipment that has been serviced or repaired by unauthorised personnel or outside of the authorised service centre.
  • Any customisation conducted by non-authorised technicians; only customisation performed by approved technicians will ensure the warranty remains unaffected. Third-party customisation will void the warranty.

2.3 Conditions for Warranty Maintenance:

  • Installation Requirements: An Authorised Technician’s Installation Report must be completed to maintain the warranty.
  • Water Quality Standards: All warranties are subject to maintaining minimum water standards as specified within the owner’s manual of the respective brands. The Buyer is responsible for ensuring water quality meets these standards.
    • For filtration systems purchased and installed by third parties, the Buyer must maintain either municipality-approved lab water tests every 6 months on-site or an authenticated (signed) Warranty and Water Disclaimer at the time of installation.

2.4 Service and Warranty Claims:
All service and warranty claims must be made through Specialty Batch General Trading LLC’s authorised service centre located in Dubai, UAE. The Buyer is responsible for transporting the equipment to the service centre for assessment. The Seller will not bear any costs related to the transportation of the equipment for service or warranty evaluation.

2.5 Brand-Specific Warranty Coverage and Limitations:

  • Synesso Equipment:
    Synesso equipment sold by Specialty Batch General Trading LLC includes a comprehensive warranty covering specific components for 2 years and extended coverage for certain components for 5 years, subject to the conditions outlined below.
    2-Year Warranty Coverage: The following components are covered under a 2-year warranty from the date of delivery, provided the equipment is used under normal conditions and in compliance with Synesso’s operational manuals:
    • Electrical Components: Including but not limited to control boards, pressure transducers, solenoid valves, heating elements, and sensors.
    • Hydraulic and Mechanical Components: Such as group heads, steam valves, pump systems (e.g., rotary pumps), brew boilers, steam boilers, and flow meters.
    • Frame and Body Components: The structural frame, panels, and other non-consumable parts provided there is no evidence of misuse, physical damage, or unauthorised modifications.
    5-Year Warranty Coverage: The following components are covered under a 5-year limited warranty from the date of delivery:
    • Stainless Steel Boilers: Synesso guarantees against defects in the stainless steel brew and steam boilers, provided they are maintained with the correct water quality standards and regular descaling as required.
    • Brew Actuators and Steam Actuators: Coverage includes actuator wear due to regular use under recommended operating conditions.
    • Frame Welds: Synesso covers the integrity of the frame welds, ensuring structural integrity against manufacturing defects.
    The Synesso warranty does not cover:
    • Damage resulting from improper water filtration, unauthorised servicing, customer modifications, or unusual physical, electrical, or electromechanical stress.
    • Wear and tear on consumable items such as gaskets, seals, group head seals, portafilters, and steam wand tips.Any service charges, labour, or travel costs unless explicitly covered under the initial sale agreement.
    Warranty claims must be evaluated by an authorised service centre, and service fees may apply if the claim is deemed outside of warranty terms.
  • Poursteady Equipment:
    The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of delivery under normal use conditions. This warranty does not cover damages due to fair wear and tear, misuse, improper installation, or damage caused by third-party installations. Equipment used outside the UAE without prior agreement will void the warranty. All warranty claims require equipment to be returned to the authorised service centre for evaluation.

3. Service and Support

3.1 Installation and Maintenance:
Proper installation of equipment, including water filtration systems in areas prone to limescale, is mandatory. Failure to comply with these installation requirements may result in voiding the warranty. Specialty Batch General Trading LLC offers installation and maintenance services at an additional cost if not included in the initial sale agreement.

3.2 On-Site Technical Support:
For equipment requiring on-site technical support, the Buyer will be charged a call-out service fee of up to AED 2000 (prepaid) plus AED 400 per hour. These fees are applicable for equipment purchased from third-party resellers or where service is not covered under warranty terms.

4. Limitation of Liability

Specialty Batch General Trading LLC’s liability is strictly limited to the repair or replacement of equipment or parts as per the warranty terms stated. Under no circumstances shall the Seller be liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from the use, sale, or delivery of the equipment.
